Took my standard poodle puppy for a summer cut, nail trim, and ear cleaning. This was her first time and when I picked her up she didn't want to leave. The groomers grandson was there and she had other dogs to play with. So mean Mom took her away from that. She looks great and I'll be bringing her back.

I am new to the area and have made multiple trips to this wonderful pet store. I bought a house and the sellers abandoned their fish. I was not a fish person but did not want the fish to suffer in any way. The guys here did not treat me like I was ignorant or dumb. They were reassuring and helped educate me in fish basics 101. 😂 They have helped me with our new fish, a kitten we found they got us formula for her and they have helped us with our chickens. These guys love their animals and are always willing to help!!!

We had a power failure the other day for a short while and when the power came back on the filter to my fish tank would not turn on. Even though it was close to closing time for them I called Rutherfordton Pet and asked if I could run over to get another filter because I didn't want to leave the tank with no filter overnight. I spoke to Chris and not only did he stay open but he suggested to try a couple of things to make the filter work and if I wanted I could bring it in the next day and he would try to fix it. I couldn't get it to work so I brought it over the next day and Zac was EXTREMELY helpful and fixed it. These guys could have simply sold me a new filter and made money but they chose to help instead. It is beautiful and so gratifying to see the good in this world. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you.

I finally realized this little pet store was hiding just around the corner one day and it’s been my go to since for live feeders and it has now become my go to for everything. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful…. Princess kitty is my favorite employee though! Their prices are great and comparable to and sometimes cheaper than online and major retailers. Surprising, I know…. That’s rarely been my experience with other little/local pet stores. They have a great selection of high quality dog foods that you won’t find most other places. I have been shopping here for the past few years and they have made a loyal customer out of me. They are always happy to spend time helping me with my millions of questions, everyone has been extremely knowledgeable about most everything and I have yet to walk out of their store disappointed or without answers. Little pet stores like this are the type of place that EVERY pet owner needs!!
